What is Mirimiri
Mirimri is the traditional holistic healing tradition or massage technique of the Maori, the indigenous people of Aotearoa/New Zealand. It is steeped in Maori customs and culture, encompassing whanau ora (family health), tinana ora (physical health), hinengaro ora (mental health) and wairua ora (spiritual health).Mirimiri is a Holistic healing massage from a Maori cultural perspective. Mind, body, spirit whole person healing that can include assisting to release and heal from trauma.
Techniques used include applying pressure to the trigger points and pressure points, using tools such as kōhatu (stones), spine and joint alignment techniques and the use of hands, feet, elbows and bodyweight to work the muscles and tissue.
